What's new for 2007
| New Camvac Distributor
Yandles of Martock now supply Camvac units and accessories. They launched the range at their superbly successful New NVT Cyclonic Design Press Release: 15/9/06 A new twister on dust extraction Early in 2006 Camvac launched a series modification to all of its 2.5” inlet dust extractors after 12 months of development. Following its successful acceptance in the 2.5” models Camvac rolled out the same technology in its 4” models on all but the GV286 and GV336. The modification known by the abbreviation “NVT” or Neutral Vane Theory increases the long-term in-use performance of Camvac machines by approximately 1/3rd and keeps filters cleaner longer. Conventional cyclones i.e. those seen in some common domestic vacuum cleaners and on large wood chip collectors have a straight forward inlet merged with the exterior of the main drum and other machines have a central inlet with an internal deflector. As soiling is collected and the material is drawn into the drum at high velocity, the conventional cyclonic inlet directs the soil to run around the periphery of the drum, gradually slowing and descending to the bottom of the waste container. The problem with this system is that as soil enters the drum it collides with soil already suspended in the cyclonic effect and in doing so creating all kinds of turbulence and poor separation, thus sending a very high percentage of the fine soiling directly to the filter, speeding up filter blockage and reducing machine performance. The new Camvac NVT units, through careful design and positioning of the cyclonic inlet, eliminate this undesirable action and in doing so allow the rotating cyclonic waste to merge with the fresh incoming material smoothly. At the same time it decelerates the overall waste velocity allowing the soiling to fall to the bottom of the waste container whilst still being spun against the wall of the drum, thus keeping it away from the filter. Cleaner filters and more effective airflow within the extractor mean higher performance… another first from Camvac.
