Teenage Turners Event 02/07/2005

Camvac were proud to be involved in this year’s TTT2: a fantastic event aimed at promoting skills and safe practice in woodturning to a younger generation.

The event took place over 3 days in July at the Avoncroft Museum near Bromsgrove, and gave nineteen fledgling Woodturners the opportunity to learn hands-on from established industry professionals and instructors. As well as honing practical skills, the organisers were equally concerned with providing a good grounding in workshop safety, so Camvac were approached to provide dust extraction for the event. With the common aim of educating Woodturners in the dangers of workshop dust, we were very happy to oblige.

After the event, we received a letter from David Fishwick one of the organisers and participants, stating: “The boys were able to make some wonderful platters, bowls and art forms at the event, enhanced by a safe environment produced with your machines. They were invaluable in keeping the air and floor safe for working, and a number of parents enquired for details of how they could purchase them.”
